Medically documented Success Reports
Healing of defective hearing after a sudden loss of hearing [1]
Jürgen B. (53) from H.:
For at least five years I had had defective hearing in my left ear which I only
gradually became aware of. Time and again in my everyday life I reacted to people speaking
to me only after being addressed several times. When we were watching television together,
I didn`t understand what was being said and I had to ask somebody to turn up the volume.
My fiancée, who I got to know 4 1/2 years ago, kept pointing out to me that I should go
to the ear specialist.
AWhen in May 1991 I finally went to the ear specialist to have a hearing test made, the
result was clear. The diagnosis was: Sudden loss of hearing resulting in hardness of
hearing on the left side. The doctor said literally:
"If you had only this ear, you would be very much in the dark. At your next
visit we have to talk about a hearing aid. "
Through a friend who told me that she had something now where she could become healthy,
I was made aware of the Bruno Groening Circle of Friends. My curiosity about this subject
gave me no peace of mind and so I was introduced to the teachings of Bruno Groening on the
7th of August in 1991.
I attended to the Community Hour regularly, except for the holiday following my
introduction. At first, my hearing was as bad as before the introduction. One day some
time later, around the beginning of November, I sat waiting at a client`s house. There was
quiet music in the background. Suddenly I was struck by the fact that I could actually
hear this quiet music very clearly, something I hadn`t been able to do for years. I
stopped my left ear in order to hear. Then I switched hands and stopped my right ear in
order to compare. The music was very quiet, but I could hear it the same with both ears.
Out of surprise I changed hands a couple of times with the same result. I heard the
music with both ears equally well. Now I knew that I had completely regained my hearing
ability. It is a wonderful feeling!
I have now received the medical confirmation . I`ve had another hearing test made and
the doctor confirmed restored hearing ability to me. I am thankful from the bottom of my
heart for this healing.
Physicians Comment:
The sound, which is taken up by the external ear is led through the external auditory
passage to the eardrum. This is set vibrating by the sound pressure. The movement of the
eardrum is transmitted from the middle ear through the earbone (Gehörknöchelchen) to the
so-called stirrup, whose movement results in shifting of the inner ear liquid. Hereby, the
basilar membrane, which winds through the inner ear is moved according to the frequency of
the entering sound-wave. This again leads to the stimulation of certain sensory cells
which are connected with the hearing nerves.
We distinguish between hardness of hearing relating to the conveyance of sound as
opposed to the sensing of sound. The origin of the first type of disability is found in
the auditory passage or in the middle ear, while the type concerning the sensing of sound
is caused by a defect of the inner ear or the hearing nerve.
In Mr B.`s case there was a marked hardness of hearing of the inner ear (the type
concerned with the sensing of sound) of the left ear which in the patient`s history could
be traced back to a sudden loss of hearing. The loss of hearing described by him is
impressively documented in the sound threshold diagram of his ENT doctor J. of the
21.5.91:
"The hearing threshold on the left lay in the deep frequencies of up to
1000 Hz at 35 dB loss of hearing, and at 8000 Hz fell to 80-90 dB loss of hearing. "[2]
There was furthermore a hardness of hearing of the inner ear on the right side, even if
it was substantially less marked:
"...on the right side from 3000 Hz decreasing from 50 to 60 dB loss of
hearing."[3]
The distinct impairment of the hearing ability was also noticed by people close to him.
Mrs Uta Thielke affirmed under oath:
"II got to know Mr B. about 4 1/2 years ago and I quickly noticed that he
suffered from severe hardness of hearing which made itself evident in situations when he
was addressed. Either he didn`t react at all or only after being spoken to repeatedly
This happened all the time and in all kinds of situations. Especially when you
sat on his left. He asked me and other people to speak up, television and music-player
were permanently turned up excessively.
Since about October-November 1991 these difficulties are no longer there.
Since then Mr B. reacts totally normally. "[4]
The effect of the healing stream is also perceptible in the sound threshold diagrams,
from tests which Mr B. had made after his healing. For this he visited two ENT doctors. Dr
J. from H. affirmed a clear improvement of the hearing ability and doctor L. from H.
attested normal hearing ability for his age:
"In the sound threshold diagram of the 4th of March 92 the capacity of
the inner ear on both sides, at up to 3 kHz lies at 10 dB, and thereafter decreases to 30
dB on the right at 6 kHz and on the left side to 40 dB at 6kHz."[5]
While before, the hearing ability of Mr B`s left ear was reduced to such an extent that
in the speech range he could only hear people speaking loudly, he can now even perceive a
whisper.
