The Bruno Gröning Circle of Friends was founded 30 years ago. Grete Häusler, a close associate of the "miracle healer", published the book "Here Is the Truth on and about Bruno Gröning" in 1984. Mrs. Häusler was herself healed from three incurable diseases through Gröning. With a handful of kindred spirits she established the communities in which the teaching of Bruno Gröning is passed on. Today the Bruno Gröning Circle of Friends is a non-denominational association of over 60,000 people on all continents of the world.

Sixty Years ago Bruno Gröning Became a Public Figure

It was 60 years ago that Bruno Gröning’s name made headlines around the world. From 1949 on, thousands of people streamed to his faith lectures, and there were biblical scenes with inexplicable healings. The lame could walk again, the blind see again. "There is no such thing as ‘incurable’ - God is the greatest Physician", Gröning said. But he was confronted by members of the medical profession who couldn’t accept the fact that a simple man could do what they could not. He even had to defend himself in court against the charge of violation of the "Healing Practitioners’ Law". This was to hinder him in his work. Yet Gröning proclaimed, "It cannot be stopped! Healing will come to pass throughout the world."

The Fiftieth Anniversary of the "Miracle Healer’s" Death

Bruno Gröning died in 1959 and it appeared as if it all would end with his death. The thousands of healed people scattered in all directions and the memory of those events began to fade. The re-founding of the Bruno Gröning communities changed all that, and with the new communities came increasing numbers of healings. Since the early nineties these healings have been scientifically verified and documented in the Medical Scientific Group (MWF). Thousands of doctors and members of other health care professions have joined the MWF, where they work on a volunteer basis.

A film that is not only unusual in length is celebrating its fifth anniversary: "The Phenomenon Bruno Gröning: on the tracks of the ‘miracle healer’". It has been showing for five years in the German and Austrian theatres - and now even in the USA and in many other countries . The documentary film traces the stations in the life and work of this extraordinary man. Unbelievable, but true: healings also occur during the film showings.
