Introduction

In 1950, Grete Häusler (1922 - 2007) went to a lecture of Bruno Groening in Munich.There she experienced spontaneous healing from three chronic illnesses which had been declared medically incurable. Thereafter, she had the desire to learn more about Bruno Groening and his teaching. Thus Grete Häusler sought and found the opportunity in the following years to attend his lectures often. She witnessed for herself many healings effected by the Healing Current going out from Bruno Groening. She established 23 Communities in Austria and led them until 1957. Then she moved to Germany and experienced Bruno Groening also there. As Community Leader and one of his closest friends, she learned from Bruno Groening how to work in his under-taking.

After Bruno Groening died in 1959, she continued to feel the Healing Current, and healing occurred as she passed on the teachings. She remembered his words, "Everyone must die - I too - but I will not be dead. And if you call me, I will come and help further, as God wills." Grete Häusler worked untiringly for decades, with all means available, to help in this way the sick and needy.

Founding of the Bruno Groening Circle of Friends

Greta Häusler founded the Circle of Friends according to the model of Bruno Groening. "Bruno Groening Friends" are people who feel themselves bound together on the basis of the teachings of Bruno Groening. They identify themselves; take part in Community Hours, conferences, etc., as they see fit; and receive schooling material. The Circle of Friends supports itself from voluntary donations and unpaid assistance only.

There are meanwhile () local Communities in Germany, in nearby European countries, and - increasingly - worldwide. Tens of thousands of friends meet together as a rule at three-week intervals in Community Hours. The leaders of the Communities and assisting friends come together in Working Circles, in order to discuss and coordinate current tasks. The active friends work independently at their tasks, at the same time keeping in mind the entire work, which is today directed by Dieter Häusler, son of Grete Häusler.

The simple desire to write and publish a book on Bruno Groening and his teachings led to the founding of a publishing company. Grete Häusler, GmbH. [publishing house], which arose from the humblest beginnings, has taken on the task of making available to the public the teaching of Bruno Groening and the works stemming from them. It now offers with continually-growing success a broad selection of works from the Circle of Friends on the regular book market, in its Internet Shop and at international book fairs.

Important Characteristics of the Bruno Groening Circle of Friends

The protection of the freedom of the will of each individual

The protection of the freedom of the will is consistently put into practice as an essential basis of the teachings of Bruno Groening. Membership in the Circle of Friends leads to no legal, financial or religious ties or obligations, can be immediately dissolved, and is thus comparable to a good personal friendship. There are in the Circle of Friends, for example, no promises of loyalty, no vows or oaths or anything similar. On the contrary, many friends experience through following the teachings of Bruno Groening an inner liberation from psychic compulsions, worries, fears, distress, pain and suffering.

Finance and Expenses

In the Bruno Groening Circle of Friends, no entry fees, membership contributions or other financial demands are made. All tasks in the Bruno Groening Circle of Friends are fulfilled, on the example of Bruno Groening, exclusively from voluntary contributions and unpaid assistance of the friends out of gratitude for help and healing they have experienced. Thus, in Grete Häusler, GmbH. there is no pay, no royalties or profit of any kind, not even for Dieter Häusler, the Director of the entire work.

From the very beginning of the Circle of Friends, all donations and costs were carefully accounted for and checked. The amounts left over were collected and put to use for various purposes - mainly for the regular production of schooling materials for German and foreign Friends, distributed free of cost and without consideration of donation revenue to the different Communities and countries. Meanwhile there is a modern accounting system with which the individual Communities do their accounting.

Government recognition of the Circle of Friends

For the safeguarding of all legal and business matters, there is a small, non-profit support society, the "Circle for Spiritual Aid, Inc., Hennef/Sieg (abbreviated as "the Circle"). The regulations of the Circle were formed according to the actual mode of operation of the Circle of Friends, and are in accord with the laws of the government.

The Circle of Friends is open to all people

Everyone can have access to the Circle of Friends. Many new Friends come especially through personal recommendation from relatives and friends. Before the first visit to a Community Hour, an introduction to the teachings of Bruno Groening is given (an information lecture with instructions for absorbing the divine Healing Current).

Most help-seekers are initially very skeptical and want to first convince themselves of everything. Bruno Groening says of this: "Please, please do not be credulous! Today I say, as always, `You do not have to believe what I say!´ I also do not require it. A duty which you do have is to convince yourself!" They are aimed at helping the friends to become spiritually mature and to learn to assume the responsibility for themselves. Bruno Groening said, "I want you to become masters of life! Everyone is the architect of his own future, for man reaps what he soes." Everyone may make mistakes, but he must take the consequences for his actions according to the natural law of cause and effect which is valid for all mankind. However, personal experiences can be made much more simply and faster if the relevant rules are known. By regular exchange of experience reports, the friends stimulate a quick spiritual development. "One helps the other, God helps us all," said Bruno Groening.

Each should remain in his own religion

Friends come to the Circle of Friends as believers or atheists. They can belong at the same time to various religious communities, denominations or churches. After a personal healing experience many, however, develop a strong belief in the Lord God. Bruno Groening said, "I want to fill the churches with people again (...) Each person should remain in his own religion, but take on the power of faith here in the Community." Religious affiliation is for everyone optional.

Maintenance of the purity of the teachings

Inclusion and assistance of doctors

During his lifetime, Bruno Groening tried to work collaboratively with physicians. In the Heidelberg Test, he was examined by an test commission of the Heidelberg University Clinic and impressed the doctors. It did not come to a collaboration at that time because Bruno Groening on principle did not want to "do business." No promise of healing

The nature of the illness is irrelevant - the decisive factor is the will to recover and the firm belief that God is the greatest physician. Every healing is a gift and thus involves divine grace. Therefore a promise of healing is impossible and will also not be given in the Bruno Groening Circle of Friends. In the same way, no demand of a help-seeker for healing is accepted, even for offers of large sums of money.

There is no medical advice or treatment in the Circle of Friends

In the Bruno Groening Circle of Friends there is no diagnosis, therapy, examination or treatment. Medication is neither recommended, prescribed nor given out. No one is dissuaded from going to the doctor, taking medication, or undergoing therapies or surgical treatment. A possible medical treatment of the help-seeker is fully independent from membership in the Circle of Friends.
