"Incredible healing through God's Healing Stream"

Is spiritual healing the key to tomorrow's health? Bruno Groening was convinced of this. And now more and more people are obtaining help and healing through his teachings. The Bruno Groening Circle of Friends has grown to over 50,000 members world-wide. The message of his teachings about the divine healing power has even penetrated China and Russia, has even gone as far as Brazil. How does it happen that people are freed from ailments they have had for years, even decades? "Bio" has looked into this matter.

"Spirit controls matter". Is this only a saying from the past-a pipe dream-or is it actually capable of realization? Like so many things in life it depends on the viewpoint of the observer.

More and more physicians are at a loss today. Over the years they have often reached the limits of the medically possible. They have lost faith in the salvation that is supposed to come from unlimited research. They can hardly observe their calling any more to save and protect life as described so beautifully in the Hippocratic Oath. For it often does not go beyond encouraging words and the prescription of medication.

The patient who is informed that nothing more can help him wonders to himself, "there must be something other than this crushing judgement of "incurable"! But what is it?

Physicians, too, seek ways to be able to really help their patients. But in their training they have hardly learned anything about alternatives to traditional medicine. If they are lucky they perhaps hear something about the "vis vitalis", the "power of life" in their lectures on the "History of medicine". But its existence is not part of the instructional material of today's budding physician. He usually no longer has access to the power of life and doesn't know its laws.

"A great thinker once said, "True science and true religion are one". Man should not be divided into soul and body. They are deeply intertwined with one another. The significance of the mental-spiritual attitude of a person for the health of his body is becoming ever more clear through psychosomatic medicine and through the findings of a new sub-discipline of medicine called "psychoneuroimmunology".

Nevertheless these connections are all too often disregarded and patients are killed by diagnoses and baneful prophecies concerning the course of diseases. But the heralds of a new era that requires a different way of thinking are becoming ever more apparent.

Margot Miebach can smile again after decades of suffering. Today 65, she suffered from chronic digestive disturbances, continual nausea, diarrhoea and severe pain in the upper abdomen. Thanks to the teachings of Bruno Groening she became free of all ailments in 1996-after 24 years. "It has now been over five years that I've taken no more pills and have no more pain," she joyfully reports.

How it all began

Matthias Kamp (38), a physician from Hamburg, was interested even at the end of the eighties in the expansion of his knowledge of alternative methods of healing, so he concerned himself with the subject of spiritual healing. At a meeting of the Bruno Groening Circle of Friends he learned how one can absorb a power known as the "divine healing power".

However he soon noticed that what was easy for children was for him, an intellectually-oriented adult, at first difficult. But when he realized that this power that you can neither see nor touch is perceptible through feeling-rather than through the head-then he, too, was able to experience it. He, too, perceived a pleasant, strong, streaming sensation, a tingling all over his body. It was something that brought with it a feeling of being strengthened and of happiness. Never before had he experienced such a thing.

Bruno Groening became known in the fifties in Germany because of astounding healings during his lectures. He called this power that can give people healing and help the "divine power" or "Healing Stream". Groening didn't want to be regarded as a healer and emphasized again and again that no human being can heal. A human being can only act as a mediator of the power that causes the healing.

Establishment of a physicians' group

Convinced by personal experience, Kamp investigated with a colleague the healings reported in the Bruno Groening Circle of Friends. Then in 1992 he and several other physicians and people in healing professions founded the Medical Science Group (MWF). Now over 5,000 members of healing professions, among them many hundreds of physicians, are active in this physicians' group.

In the year 2000 these volunteer physicians and healing practitioners reported on their experiences with spiritual healing through the teachings of Bruno Groening in over 400 lectures in more than 60 countries.

The Bruno Groening Circle of Friends is now one of the largest associations for spiritual healing in the world. However the physicians of the MWF are not only active in giving lectures internationally. The second task of the professionals of the MWF is the recording, examination, medical documentation and scientific evaluation of the healings that occur.

Healing from long-term deafness

This is the well documented report of the case of Roswitha Goeke of Cologne. She suffered from impaired hearing of the inner ear on both sides from birth on. The cause was probably damage from a forceps delivery.
As is so often the case with such ailments, Roswitha Goeke, too, was assessed as maladjusted or shy until the diagnosis was made. The young woman refused a two-sided hearing aid. She couldn't hear environmental sounds such as the chirping of birds, the rustling of leaves and the sounds of cars driving by. Nor was conversation possible for her in a normal tone of voice.

The first audiogram, taken on October 27, 1986, showed a pronounced hearing loss of up to 80 decibels at frequencies above 2000 Hertz. A check-up in 1993 had approximately the same results. After regular absorption of the Healing Stream for some time, Roswitha Goeke sensed one morning a strong feeling of pressure in her right ear that continued until noon. Then she suddenly felt as though a curtain had been opened in front of her ear. For the first time in her life she was able to hear soft sounds-the ticking of an alarm clock or the sounds of vehicles from the street, for example.

Interview with G. Blättner, M.D., Director of the Medical Science Group (MWF) of the Bruno Groening Circle of Friends

BIO: Dr. Blättner, why do you as a traditional physician publicly support spiritual healing through the teachings of Bruno Groening so strongly?

Dr. Blättner: It is my conviction that at the present time every physician has the duty to help his patients. However, the knowledge obtained at the universities is no longer sufficient. As a physician, one should consider in an unprejudiced manner other ways, too, that can help his patients.

Dr. Blättner: You've got to set priorities. In the MWF the physicians, healing practitioners and people from other healing professions work while carrying out their professional duties. It is no different for me. Thus, you have to know what you're giving up your time for. For me this isn't the only way, but it is the most valuable because it is so simple.

It is my goal to mediate for people a simple, cost-free method of self-help. That is what we need in today's health situation. My colleagues and I experience how important this is especially during our lecture trips to the poor countries of this earth.

We explain to the people in the lecture how they can open themselves to the Healing Stream according to the teachings of Bruno Groening. Many people in the audience perceive the power in their own body immediately. Sometimes we even observe initial healings during the lectures themselves. Local groups are then formed which develop their own momentum. The whole thing grows on its own because it really helps in a spectacular way.

BIO: What is it about the teachings of Bruno Groening that is especially important for you as a physician?

Dr. Blättner: In addition to their simplicity and the fact that they don't cost anything, their naturalness and clarity are very important. I emphasize again and again in my lectures that, whether in the Circle of Friends or elsewhere, serious spiritual healing is open and clear rather than mysterious and mystical. Bruno Groening emphasized time and again that he was saying nothing new, that it was after all only an ancient wisdom expressed in today's terms.

This wisdom should actually be already known. But it was forgotten or distorted. You find it in all religions, and physicians of earlier times such as, for example, Paracelsus, also knew these things. Groening referred to the Healing Stream also as a higher power of nature given to man from God. This power has definite laws.

On examining the healings within the Circle of Friends it is time and again confirmed for us that the healing power can work in a person if he allows it. Thoughts and feelings are of very great significance here. For spiritual healing is more than a mere absorption of energy. The person seeking healing must also do something himself. For example, it is difficult to get well if you still believe that you are sick.

Healing is and will remain gift of God

People, too, must be taught again the processes of adjustment and cleansing. How difficult it is for many to recognize that pain, diarrhoea, fever or other bodily reactions can be a part of healing! The person who wants to become well in this way must finally learn to take on the responsibility for his own health again. There is also no contradiction to ongoing medical treatment. One cannot simply give up all medication or say "I'm not going to the doctor any more because I'll be cured by the Healing Stream". No, one can demand nothing. Healing is and will remain-this cannot be emphasized often enough-in the end a gift of God.

BIO: What is special for you about the Medical Science Group, and what is its purpose?

Dr. Blättner: For me it is a special joy that in the MWF representatives of almost all healing professions work together-physicians, healing practitioners, nurses, physical therapists, psychologists and many others. There are no professional animosities, no one places himself above the others and there is a harmonious collaboration with mutual respect.

Part of the work consists of international lecture events that are organized by physicians and healing practitioners. Often the public lectures are even given jointly. In the autumn of 2001 we started a new form of lecture on addiction-counselling in order to also reach people dependent on drugs.

Another part of the work is the recording of the healings as "Success Reports" within the Circle of Friends. More than 400 representatives from all healing professions already work as helpers in this area. In "Working Circles" the reports are discussed with physicians, examined and-insofar as possible-documented.

The MWF also has an internal magazine that is translated into eleven languages. Regular congresses are held in several countries for the exchange of common experiences. Without the work of this specialist group world-wide expansion would not be possible.

Dr. Blättner: Many people think that they are in a church or some kind of religious splinter group when there is talk of God and divine power. That is how far we have distanced ourselves from what is natural. For knowledge of the existence of a highest being, a highest spirit that is the only and greatest physician should actually be obvious to every physician. We physicians and healing practitioners can merely be his helpers.

It is very important for we in the healing professions to recognize again that He exists and how He works and helps-also in one's everyday practice. The teachings of Bruno Groening-and I think this must be clear by now-are suprareligious.

Physicians from all religions are represented in the Medical Science Group. This power knows no "Catholic" or "Protestant" and makes no difference between Christians and Jews, Moslems and Buddhists.

The only thing that counts is one's heart and his will for the good. It is a matter of people, not of religion.

BIO: What is your greatest wish for the future?

Dr. Blättner: In the year 2000 we began with lecture events at the greatest universities in Germany and its neighbouring countries. Often more than 800 people attended the individual lectures. Around 20,000 people attended them world-wide in the year 2000.

In Eastern Europe and Asia the universities even gave official recognition to the lectures. In the state of Arizona in the USA the medical university invited physicians and interested persons in their own name to the MWF lectures in conjunction with a lecture trip through the USA and Canada in October, 2001.

I maintain that conflicts in personal ideology can no longer be important when it is a matter of helping people. This is the highest law at the present time. For this, one must make use of everything good without prejudice, whether it is naturopathy, traditional medicine or spiritual healing.

Strong bones and no pain despite osteoporosis

Gertraud Fischer, 65, from Munich
suffered since 1993 from increasing pain in her back, finger-joints and knees. Measurement of her bone-density by computer-tomography on August 24, 1994 indicated a manifest osteoporosis (average spongy mineral salt content 64.2 mg Ca-HA / ml). Estrogen therapy had to be discontinued because of a thrombosis. Calcium was not tolerated. Therefore medical treatment was restricted to vitamin-D preparations.

The next check-up on November 28, 1995, however, showed a definite increase of the osteoporosis (51.7 mg CaHA / ml). In the meantime, Gertraud Fischer's symptoms had increased to such an extent that she had to use a cane while walking and complained of continual pain.

An examination of her bone density provided an impressive confirmation: a check-up in April, 1999 indicated a bone density of 80.1 mg Ca-HA / ml, typical for her age. Now 77, she is still today without complaint.

An increase of bone density in manifest osteoporosis without adequate therapy is inexplicable for the physician documenting this case. With osteoporosis in old age the bone mass continually decreases. The bisphosponates are the only medication that can provide a certain amount of re-mineralization. But even with this therapy an increase of bone density such as with Mrs. Fischer has never been described.

Robert (at the left), shown here with friends from the Tucson, USA community, suffered from an acne that disfigured him severely. People treated him like a leper and he no longer dared to socialize. In this seemingly hopeless situation the 20-year-old man heard a cassette of the Bruno Groening Circle of Friends. "As I listened to the words on the cassette I suddenly felt a strong power flow through my body," he reported. "It seemed to me as if the disease were spiritually thrown out of my body." The severe acne went away and he was able to go back to the university to continue his information science studies.
