"Without drugs or scalpel"

by Dr. Ruth-Maria F., Veterinarian

Some farmers are taking new paths in their treatment of animal diseases and injuries. In veterinary medicine, too, many diseases are described where no healing - or at most relief - would be expected.

A typical example is summer eczema in horses, a kind of allergy leading to severe itching and caused by gnats. What do you do with a 16-year-old Icelandic mare that has suffered for 12 years from the most severe allergy attacks and in the summer months literally chafes the hide from its body until blood begins to flow? Shut it up in a stall during the beautiful summer weather and let it out only at night? Wrap it in a full body blanket at temperatures ranging from warm to hot? Or would it be better just to put it to sleep right away?

What is more, many farmers are often faced with the problem that certain diseases spread through the stalls like the plague and that some animals simply can’t be saved despite intensive treatment with the best veterinary care. For example, when beef cattle don’t respond to treatment for enzootic bronchial pneumonia, a very aggressive form of bronchitis and lung inflammation, they usually have to be put to sleep or sent to the slaughterer. In two such cases, the livestock breeders decided to try spiritual healing as a last resort. The Icelandic mare, now 28 years old, no longer exhibits any symptoms and at 22 even gave birth to a healthy foal. The young bull survived a severe lung inflammation and was able to be fattened up for slaughter with no further problems. In both cases the veterinarians confirmed that the healings were inexplicable from a medical point of view.

Both animal breeders are members of the Bruno Groening Circle of Friends, an association for spiritual healing whose roots go back to a man called Bruno Groening. The carpenter from Danzig [Gdansk] lived from 1906 to 1959, and countless people were healed at that time, many of them from so-called "incurable" diseases. Bruno Groening knew how to awaken the belief in people through simple and clear words that there is no such thing as "incurable" and that God is the greatest physician. Groening knew of the existence of a force (he called it the divine power or "Heilstrom*") which can bring about help and healing not only for human beings, but also for animals. In spite of all his success the "uneducated" man was continually hindered in his work, above all by the medical profession, which often regarded the phenomenon with lack of understanding and disbelief.

The central element of the Circle of Friends-now represented worldwide-consists of 1,500 Communities and the Medical Science Group with its nearly 6,000 doctors, veterinarians and members of other healing professions who verify, document and publish healings. From my point of view today and my experience I have determined that spiritual healing is usually easier with animals than with people because they have no intellect to block their healing process. The most important requirement necessary to us as thinking and logically-behaving individuals is an openness toward a reality that we cannot put into concrete terms with the equipment and ways of measurement currently available to us. However, this fact in no way proves that the "unmeasurable" necessarily doesn’t exist simply because it is beyond contemporary scientific explanation. Having grown up in a farm environment and through my years of professional activity as a practicing veterinarian, I am very concerned about agriculture and all of its large and small problems. I am especially happy to be able make my knowledge available to the Medical Science Group together with several of my colleagues for the verification of success reports on animal healings.

In the Bruno Groening Circle of Friends there is also a community of very committed farmers. It is coordinated by Jürgen Kröll from Stopperich in the Westerwald, a family man (three children) and dairy farmer with a herd of 160 cattle. Farmers from Germany and Austria learn here how they can successfully apply the knowledge of spiritual healing according to Bruno Groening on their own farms. Most of them came to the Circle of Friends with a health problem and since their recovery have been successfully applying what they learned on their own farms.
