"Divine Heilstrom*"

Spiritual healing through the teachings of Bruno Groening – an epochal personality would have celebrated his 100th birthday this year on May 30.

In 1949, one name dominated the newspaper headlines: Bruno Groening (1906-1959). Tens of thousands flocked to his places of activity. Unbelievable healings took place, and all the important newspapers and magazines reported on them. Radio, newsreel and film took up the cause of the phenomenon. The high point was reached at the "Traberhof" near Rosenheim. In the spring of 1949 up to 30,000 people gathered there daily. It is sick people who throng to him there, and for many he is the last hope. Biblical scenes take place - the lame can walk again, the blind see again. "There is no such thing as 'incurable' – God is the greatest physician!" says Bruno Groening to the seekers of help. He emphasizes time and again that it isn't he who heals, but God. The medical profession takes a very critical attitude toward the happenings, slanderous articles appear in the press and the authorities accuse him of violating the Healing Practitioner Law. In 1952 Bruno Groening is put on trial for the first time and is acquitted, but he is prohibited from engaging in any healing activity. From now on he holds "faith lectures". Appeal proceedings are held in a Munich court. On January 26, 1959, the day on which the appeal trial is to be held, Bruno Groening dies. He had predicted that he would "burn inwardly" if he was forbidden to heal. After two operations the doctors in Paris confirm that that had actually happened. Dr. Belanger: "It looked like a total internal combustion."

Bruno Groening and the things that happened back then are almost forgotten. Grete Häusler herself had been healed from three illnesses that had been declared incurable at a lecture held by Bruno Groening. Years later she witnessed how her cleaning woman, who had been blind in her right eye, was suddenly able to see again: the cleaning woman had dropped a picture of Bruno Groening while dusting, breaking the glass in the frame. In answer to her inquiry, Grete Häusler told her about Bruno Groening. For Grete Häusler, the healing of the cleaning woman was the fulfilment of the words of Bruno Groening, "Everyone has to die - I too. They will lay my body in the earth, but I won't be dead. I will be there for anyone who calls me, and will go on helping." Grete Häusler spoke to other people in her neighborhood and discovered that healings were continuing to occur. Thus, perceiving inwardly that it was her task to make known the teachings of Bruno Groening, she founded the Bruno Groening Circle of Friends in 1979.

The Bruno Circle of Friends carries on the work of Bruno Groening. People in all European countries and on all continents of the earth meet to absorb the healing energy together. Today they meet either to obtain healing through the teachings of Bruno Groening or because, already having been healed, they want to be able to help other people become well.

"The shortness of breath began 20 years ago when I was just 41 years of age. I had to give up the health club because I could hardly breathe. I then noticed that these problems always appeared after cleaning or when my husband threw down last year's hay from the haystack. I always got these attacks of shortness of breath whenever I tidied up the cellar or the attic or when vacuuming, shaking out blankets, beating carpets or cleaning. The medical diagnosis was an allergic asthma in relation to hay and house dust allergy. But a bronchial spray that was prescribed provided only a momentary relief. Since we have a farm, the asthma attacks occurred often. In 1989, migraines also began. During the attacks I would have a severe headache, become nauseous and have to vomit. Tablets always helped with the attacks, but the migraines kept on coming. For several years there was a burning in my oesophagus. My family doctor spoke of "heartburn". Antacid tablets brought only relief. In the course of the years I became ever more depressed and was given less and less work as a result of the illnesses. Often I had to struggle to get through the day."

It seemed to be my last resort. I wanted so badly to become well again, to be free. I was able to accept the teachings of Bruno Groening very easily. A short time after I had absorbed the Heilstrom* for the first time I suddenly had a feeling as if a thick, heavy coat I had been wrapped in had been removed. I can't describe the wonderful feeling, but I felt like a different person. Since then the asthma attacks have been a thing of the past. Dusting or even working in the worst house dust no longer bothers me. The migraines have stopped and the heartburn is over with. I feel free and well, and the sadness and lack of energy are gone. Membership in the Circle of Friends is independent of commitment to churches or other religious or ideological associations. There are no financial or legal obligations. All helpers - whether the Director of the Circle of Friends or the community leaders, publishing workers, translators or doctors - work voluntarily in their free time. The work of Bruno Groening is financed exclusively on the basis of voluntary donations. In accordance with Bruno Groening's example, in the Circle of Friends there is no diagnosis, therapy, examination or treatment. No one is advised against taking medication or visiting doctors, nor are recommendations made. Every healing is a gift and thus a divine blessing. Therefore no promise of healing is possible and is also not given in the Bruno Groening Circle of Friends. Community hours take place every three weeks so that friends can absorb together the "Heilstrom*," as Bruno Groening called the healing energy, and pass on experiences.

Medical Science Group (MWF)

In order to document the many healings that have been taking place since Bruno Groening's death, the Medical Scientific Group (MWF) was founded in 1992. It is made up of numerous doctors and health care professionals. The doctors verify and comment on the healings that occur. In this way they have been able to build up an archive of many thousands of pages. It contains reports of healing from cancer, Parkinson's disease, angina pectoris, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoporosis, as well as alcohol and drug addiction, depression, and many other ailments.

Bruno Groening's teachings

The core of the teachings of Bruno Groening is knowledge of the Heilstrom*, the divine energy. Groening taught his audiences how to consciously absorb this energy into themselves again and use it for their own well - being. Thoughts play an essential role in this. According to Bruno Groening, thoughts are active energy forms which people generally underestimate considerably. An internal and external posture of openness - as well as the will to be well - are prerequisites for healing and for reception of this divine energy. The healing then occurs by purely spiritual means through the absorption of this energy. He said, "Trust and believe - the divine power helps and heals". Bruno Groening called on people to make a great turn around, back to belief in the goodness in people and to belief in God.. "Love life - God; God is everywhere."

An impressive healing

Healing from migraines: Annemarie Oettli of Winterthur, 57, Cosmetician:

"I had my first asthma attack at 17. I suddenly had impaired vision and could no longer form a complete sentence - I couldn't even remember simple words any more. In addition, I had disturbances of feeling in my left hand. All of this would last around 20 minutes until a very severe left - sided headache began and I became nauseous. The family doctor diagnosed migraines. Luckily I didn't know back then that I would suffer approximately 35 years from these migraines.

I got these attacks from two to four times a month. Sometimes the headache and nausea would last up to three days. Since I didn't know when the attacks would occur, it naturally had a very restrictive effect on my everyday life. I would sometimes have to lie down in the middle of some activity. So you can imagine that one would feel only half alive.

In 1976 we moved to Brissago in beautiful Tessin. I hoped that the mild climate would be good for my health. Unfortunately that was not the case. Two years later we moved to Chur in the Bündnerland. I had my head carefully examined by a neurologist. Nothing unusual was found. He prescribed a course of treatment with suppositories, which, however, brought no improvement. Then I somehow just accepted the migraines.

In the meantime we moved back to Winterthur again. I did Reiki, acupuncture, bio - resonance therapy, Japanese massage und atlaslogy and experienced partial relief, but no healing. Therefore I gave up all treatments.

In the autumn of 2000 I attended a Physicians' Information Lecture on spiritual healing according to the teachings of Bruno Groening in Zurich. I learned that one can "give up" and request complete healing. I symbolically threw the migraine into a wastebasket and completely separated myself inwardly from it. All that somehow moved me and tears ran down my face.

After about four weeks I discovered to my complete amazement that no more migraines had occurred. It was really astonishing, but even later no attacks occurred and since then I have been fully free of migraines and all of side - effects. A great pressure has gone away and I now feel inwardly much more relaxed and calm, and am once again full of the joy of life and gratitude."
