"The Bruno Groening Phenomenon": a summing-up after three months

Much (maf). Packed cinemas, enthusiastic audiences and the first healings - this sums up how the Groening documentary film is faring after a run of three months. Since opening on October 3, 2003, it has been shown in nine cities in the German-speaking region, and in some areas the showings have already been extended until Easter of 2004. At first it was mainly the friends of the Bruno Groening Circle of Friends themselves who took advantage of the opportunity to see the long-awaited film, but it wasn't long until they started bringing relatives and friends along, too. Meanwhile word also has got around outside the Circle of Friends that this is a very special film, and more and more people are flocking to the cinemas to see it.

HEALING FROM HEMIPLEGIA AND SEVERE SPEECH DISTURBANCE AS WELL AS A FAILURE OF WOUNDS TO HEAL AFTER A LUNG OPERATION

SUCCESS REPORT OF NIKOLAI GONTSCHAR, 66

After a stroke in 1987 I suffered speech disturbances, headache, dizziness, cramps and leg pain. I couldn't walk for more than five minutes and could hardly speak. My right arm and right leg were paralysed. I was plagued by memory loss and had difficulty understanding things people explained to me. 

Hospitalization and diagnosis 
In the above-mentioned condition I was admitted to the neurological department of the local hospital. I was bedridden and required care. After three months without improvement I was moved to the neurological department of a scientific research institute. There the doctors diagnosed a cerebral infarction brought about by a narrowing of the cerebral blood vessels. 

Operation and further diagnosis 
In 1990 I had a carotid artery operation, but there was no improvement in the paralysis or speech disturbance. So I was dismissed in the same condition I had when I was admitted. In the same year they discovered a malignant tumor, but they didn't want to operate because of the paralysis. During this same period, the Soviet Union disintegrated and the institute received no more money from the Kazakhstan government. I was sent home. My condition was really terrible. The doctors didn't tell me that I had lung cancer, and I only learned of it later from my wife at home. I went to a surgical clinic in my home town. There I had two radiation series and four chemotherapy treatments. Yet the tumour continued to grow and I was already coughing up blood. In 1992 the doctors operated on my lung. The findings of the pathologists were a keratinizing epithelial carcinoma of the right superior pulmonary lobe of the lung. 

The beginning of my worst time of suffering
The operation wounds didn't heal, but remained open and caused unbearable pain. Therefore I couldn't sleep - even the morphine shots didn't help. I often had an incomprehensible fear and was afraid to stay at home alone. In the summer of 1997 I hardly ate anything at all any more, only drank water and went down to 48 kilos (about 106 lb.). One day my whole body was seized by cramps. My wife called the emergency doctor, who gave me an anaesthetic, which, however, didn't take effect. The doctor called my wife into the next room. I didn't know what they were talking about, but felt that it wasn't good. I fell to the floor and began to cry, asking God for forgiveness and help. My condition grew worse and worse.

The turning point came!
I asked God day and night for help. One day we read in the newspaper "Majak" that there was going to be an Introductory Lecture on the teachings of Bruno Groening. So in October, 1997 we went to it. But I couldn't really believe that I could be helped. 

First reactions
Already in the Introduction I felt a tingling that went from my toes up to my fingers. In the community hour that followed my hands began to itch and burn. I got pain in my whole body and the operation wounds hurt. The pain was sometimes so severe that I lost consciousness. After that it let up. At the next meeting in the community It was so bad that I fainted. When I came to, I was soaked in sweat and waves of energy went from my feet throughout my body. It seemed as though my hair was standing on end. I felt light and pleasant. The pain wasn't completely gone, but I felt it far away. I wept with joy.

The healing process
It got better day by day. When I "tuned in" at home, and during the community hours the pain increased, but then almost fully disappeared again. Gradually I was able to sleep without pills and began to eat with a good appetite.

Within three months the three lung operation wounds had healed up. After the third community hour I required no more pills. The pain that had tormented me for years had simply disappeared.

During the six months after the Introduction I was soon able to lift my arm again and move my leg. I got better day by day. After the six months were over I was fully well. After not being able to walk for12 years, I was once again standing firmly on two feet. The language disturbance and all the other impediments also disappeared within this time period. Today I can speak fluently again and can comprehend everything with no problem

I was granted a third healing.
For 23 years I had been tortured by stomach- and duodenal ulcers. I took pills, had regular medical treatment and had to follow a diet. After the third community hour I got increased abdominal pain, which then gradually disappeared again. Since then I can once again eat everything, don't have to follow a diet, and weigh 85 kilos (187 lb.) again. Since then I have had no more complaints in this regard. 

THE GROWING WORK

The Bruno Groening Circle of Friends introduces itself – Münster Region (Part 5/4)

Münster (chk). The Münster Region starts in North-Rhine Westphalia on the northern end of the Ruhr and extends to the North Sea. It includes an area with a mainly rural structure, and Münster is the largest city in the region. Around 1.5 million live here, and one in every thousand (1,409 on January 1, 2004) is a member of the Circle of Friends. Starting with eight communities in 1993, it has grown in the past ten years to a flourishing Region.

The Region in Bruno Groening's time
During his lifetime Bruno Groening also travelled through this Region, holding many lectures in many places. The eyewitness reports tell us the places where he worked-for example, on the island of Wangerooge, the North Frisians, the Lower Rhine, in Emsland and Münsterland and in many other places.

The proximity of the Region to Herford, where Bruno Groening first become known to the public on a large scale, resulted in many people from the Münsterland, too, travelling there to receive healing - and also with success, as proven by the success reports of the time.

We look forward to the further expansion of our Region, the worldwide activities and the opportunity to help many more interested people and help-seekers pass on to others the teachings of Bruno Groening. In this way they can learn to live according to them and acquire the health and happiness for which they yearn.

From the smallest beginnings
Its origin lies in the Bremerhaven Community, which was founded in 1981. At the end of the eighties a few more followed, among them the first Children's and Youth Community. During this time - in 1989 - the Münster Community was also founded.

Further growth resulted from information stands representing the teachings of Bruno Groening in pedestrian zones and lectures at esoteric and health fairs. Since the middle of the nineties the information lectures of the physicians and healing practitioners of the Medical Scientific Group (MWF) have served to further expand the knowledge of the teachings of Bruno Groening. They represent a dynamic force that has brought many interested and help-seeking people into the Circle of Friends.

Growth through hard work and commitment
At present the region encompasses 58 Communities that were built up through years of painstaking work. Among these communities are three youth and six children's communities, as well as one physicians' community. A continual growth was made possible by up to 30 information lectures per year held by physicians and healing practitioners. Where large cities are few and far between, it is necessary to take to the country. Thus, smaller places such as Rees, Dülmen or Varel, which are scarcely known beyond the region, now have their own communities.

Since the people of the region are very rooted to the soil and traditional, it takes some doing to get them to open up to something new. On the other hand, the "convinced" give it all their heart, so that every seventh friend is an active Helper.

Regional structure as a blessing 
The restructuring of the regions turned out to be quite productive. The division into nine areas (Münster, Hamm, Borken, Osnabrück, Nordhorn, Vechta, Papenburg, Oldenburg und Bremerhaven) has shortened the trip for the friends to the community hours and work circles and simplified their collaboration considerably. Thus, in the past year 18 new community leaders have started work - encouraging news. In this way the work could be distributed to others and simplified for all helpers.

A friend has compared the restructuring in the region with the growth of a divisible plant. After the division the separate parts look smaller, but then they grow even faster and stronger than if they hadn't been separated.

Work reports
This division has been especially profitable for the central work areas such as success reports, books, cash control, technology, public relations work and others. Thus, there are well-attended meetings twice a year for all work areas as well as for community leaders. There the regional helpers discuss all current concerns of their work areas and also develop a greater solidarity with one another. Intensive schoolings and mutual exchange improve understanding and optimize the common work. The friends then return home revitalized, and new friendships often develop in the process.

Youth communities have existed for many years and currently Münster, Osnabrück und Oldenburg have them. Michael Preuss is responsible for the youth work in the region. He also coordinates the press and public relations work for the youth. In addition, he works with the communities in the New York, USA Region. 

Friends across borders
A large variety of worldwide activities foster a broader view of the world we live in. In this regard the Münster Region in particular is active in the USA, Poland and the Baltic countries.

Activities in the USA
Since the first trip of an MWF physician to the USA in the year 2001, 37 communities coordinated by the German- speaking countries have been formed there. The friends of the Münster Region coordinate the regions of New York, Florida, Colorado and California/ Arizona.

A trip by Mr. and Mrs. Karrenbauer and Dr. Blättner in September 2003 led to the establishment of new communities in the western part of the USA. In addition, 140 US Friends who don't belong to a community are coordinated by telephone and email by a friend from the region.

Activities in Poland 
The work in Poland began in1992 with 18 addresses obtained at an Esperanto Congress. Kristina Wozniak, who was born in Poland and who has lived for many years in Langen near Bremerhaven, had made it her task to bring the teachings of Bruno Groening to her place of origin. Only a year later the first - then still small - conference took place in Warsaw. Since 1995 the congress for all of Poland has been held in Gdansk, the city where Bruno Groening was born. Part of the program includes a visit to the area where the house in which Bruno Groening was born once stood (it was torn down a few years ago). There it seems as though the spirit of Bruno Groening's work is still perceptible.

There are meanwhile four regions in Poland that are divided into 35 communities. Three Polish physicians are going to hold the MWF Information Lectures in 2004. Among Poland's other tasks is the coordination of the Baltic countries.

Through the international conferences and activities valuable friendships have come about as well as a deep feeling of solidarity - that we human beings belong together, regardless of which country we come from. Old prejudices and wounds from the past have been left behind by many friends in this way.

A lot of work, but what else is there? 
Where there's a lot of work, there should also be the possibility for a friendly get-together.

In the autumn of 2002 the newly-founded region started right off with a Thanksgiving festival in order to foster togetherness. It had a good response, and therefore in 2003 a Spring Festival was also organized. Acquaintances and relatives are also invited to these events so that they can get an initial impression of the Bruno Groening Circle of Friends. For the past few years hiking days have also been held that are often planned by the region's youth. For example, past hikes have been taken to the Münster area's moated castles and in the Teutoburg Forest. A special reason for the hikes is to encourage a better perception of the nature surrounding us and the divine creatures within it.

A further activity is group singing within an independent singing circle in Münster. As a result of growing interest, further singing circles will also be initiated in our region this year.
