WORLD CONGRESS, "THE ART OF HEALING" IN GRAZ, AUSTRIA

Bridging the gap between traditional medicine and alternate methods of healing

"Spiritual healing" took centre stage at the City Hall in Graz December 2-5, 2004. Peter Hofer, a recognized expert in matters concerning alternative healing methods and Director of the Centre for Spiritual Counseling in Graz had invited 40 lecturers - 20 traditional physicians and 20 healers - to this special event. They came from all over the world to exchange information about their work and to inform the public. It was a premiere for Austria.

To provide insight
The announced goal was to provide insight to the public about the nature of world medicine today. Traditional physicians, scientists and healers were given the opportunity to introduce their work and therapeutic approaches. Everyone was able inform themselves about the latest scientific methods, rub shoulders with healers and gather experience in workshops. The visitors were given the possibility of finding the right thing for themselves. Alternative healing was brought out of the darkness in which it still kept even today.

Introduction by the head of the provincial government
Waltraud Klasnic, head of the provincial government, emphasized in her words of welcome that the ways of preserving and restoring health can differ considerably. Therefore, she said, "The methods of traditional medicine and those of complementary medicine should be joined for the benefit of the afflicted."

MWF doctors invited to speak
W. Vogelsberger, M.D., an anesthesiologist from Germany, and F. Gringinger, M.D., a general practitioner from Austria, were invited to lecture as representatives of the Medical Science Group (MWF). In their lecture on the medical verification of spiritual healing, healed persons also had a chance to speak. Thus an elderly lady from Germany told of her healing from osteoporosis. An Austrian veterinarian told of her healing from a most severe hereditary dermatitis. An animal healing was also introduced, giving proof that spiritual healing has nothing to do with suggestion.

A complete success
The lecture was extraordinarily well attended. Especially striking was the number of exhibitors and lecturers in the audience. Many of them turned up the next day at the booth of the Bruno Groening Circle of Friends to get more information. The professional public - doctors and professors - above all were seen to be impressed by the systematic verification work of the MWF. Also impressive was the multitude of foreign-language publications on the teachings of Bruno Groening at the booth of Grete Häusler, Inc.-Publishers.

World premiere 
On the last day of the congress the world premiere of the English version of the documentary film "The Bruno Groening Phenomenon - on the Track of the "Miracle Healer" took place. A journalist was also very impressed: "That is the most beautiful film I have ever seen - and I am, after all, 65 years old".

An encouraging outcome
One thing is certain: traditional physicians and alternative healers got to know one another better during those four days. Also noteworthy are the astonishing parallels between the quite different approaches. One can't forget one statement of Bruno Groening's that impressed even specialists - "There is no such thing as 'incurable'- God is the greatest physician".

At 21 I was diagnosed as having arthritis in the region of the cervical spine, as a result of which I couldn't turn my head. When with great effort I did turn my head I could hear a loud grinding in the calcified joints.

Depression and arthritis 
In 1991 states of depression began that appeared at regular intervals. During the first two years I was treated by a doctor, but treatment with medication was not possible. From 1993 on I had pain that became worse and worse. I woke up every morning with painful, stiff hands and fingers. I love to drum with my hands. I had to do it for a half an hour every time before the pain went away.

October 6, 2002
Two years ago I learned of Bruno Groening from a program on a local radio station. I liked what I heard. A few days later I attended the physician's lecture at the University of Buffalo Medical School that had been announced. I had already concerned myself in the past with many different alternative methods of healing. Spiritual healing through the teachings of Bruno Groening comes closest to my own views on matters of health and the power and influence of thoughts on one's own health.

Healing in a few weeks
Since October 6, 2002 I have been free from depression. Within two weeks thereafter the arthritis in my hands and fingers also disappeared. I wake up every morning without pain. A few weeks after the lecture I was able to turn my head very easily without crackling sounds and without pain. And so it has remained until today.

INFORMATION LECTURES IN 32 CITIES IN THE USA UND KANADA 

"My life doesn't belong to me. My life belongs to the afflicted people of this earth". These words of Bruno Groening are still relevant beyond the grave. That was to be seen during the preparations for and carrying out of a big lecture tour in North America. From the end of September to mid-November, 2004 five doctors took turns holding information lectures in 32 cities. In this way they were able to contact hundreds of interested people.

Positive reaction
Even during the lecture many a visitor perceived a good feeling in his body from the effect of the Heilstrom. But not only seekers of help - doctors and therapists as well - gratefully took with them information on the content and effect of the teachings of Bruno Groening. New communities were able to be founded and already existing ones were invigorated and strengthened by the addition of new friends. "I will lead you from the path of sorrow to the divine path". For many a seeker of help these words of Bruno Groening's were already a reality in the lecture hall.

But what did that mean for those involved in the preparations for this event? The mutual enthusiasm and team spirit of many friends also made this not altogether simple endeavor a resounding success.

After careful examination of their thoughts they started the preparations in the summer of 2004. Five coordinator-groups were established, one for each lecturing doctor. The coordinators did everything possible to accomplish the required preparatory work with the help of friends in North America and helpers from the German speaking countries. 

Training was provided on the organization of such lectures, itineraries were worked out, accommodations were arranged for and finally flight reservations were booked.

The public relations work begins
Then the press and public relations helpers began work. Letters were written to many doctors, and contacts were established with newspapers, radio stations and television stations.

The goal was to obtain the support of the media so that the people over there, too, could learn of spiritual healing through the teachings of Bruno Groening. First, telephone contact was made with the newspaper editors, who were then provided with articles by email. Interested television stations were sent a 30 minute film, and public channels were sent film material. 

Friends in the North American communities distributed flyers. Foreign language and ethnic associations were also addressed.

Many a helper didn't stop working until late at night. But then they were finally ready. The first lecture began and everything was ready for the interested people and seekers of help. The result was a work of charity - "not only in word, but also in deed" (Heb.)
