"The divine Heilstrom* - 'informational medicine' par excellence"

THE PENOMENON BRNUNO GROENING

Just imagine 30,000 people flocking daily to a Bavarian stud farm expecting to be healed by a simple man named Bruno Groening. And then it actually happens: the 43 - year - old carpenter from Gdansk steps onto the balcony and says such things to the crowd as "I don’t heal - God does" and astonishing things take place - the lame can walk again, the blind see again, and it’s all witnessed by doctors, a police commissioner and even a bishop.

The phenomenon Bruno Groening electrifies a Germany disabled by war and gives hope to countless thousands of the sick, but it doesn’t last long. The doctors take a very critical view of the happenings, slanderous articles appear in the press and he is indicted for violation of the Healing Practitioner Law. Although he is acquitted in 1952 at an initial trial, all healing activity is forbidden to him. He holds lectures in the Circle of Friends, places trust in dubious persons and is once again caught up in the machinery of the law. The healing prohibition causes Groening to burn inwardly, and on January 26, 1959 he dies after an operation in Paris. A decisive appeal trial being held at the same time in a Munich court is discontinued.

The epochal healer is forgotten. Only years later through a coincidence does he experience a renaissance. A cleaning women, blind in one eye, drops a picture of Bruno Groening while working for a woman who had been healed by him. There follows a long conversation about the healer and a short time later the woman can see with both eyes again. This is the birth of the Bruno Groening Circle of Friends, which now has dozens of groups throughout the German - speaking area. In 2003 a five - hour - long documentary film was produced, and obvious healings occasionally occur at its showings. Although produced by lay people, the film is an impressive testimonial to the "informational doctor" par excellence, who did nothing but allow a divine "Heilstrom*" to flow through him. If this was possible 57 years ago it’s also conceivable today, isn’t it?
