An essential part of the work of the Medical Scientific Group is the systematic recording of spiritual healings.
For this purpose, people from the Bruno Groening Circle of Friends who themselves have been healed, are trained to be qualified in the recording of such healings. This has enabled an international network for the purpose of recording the spiritual healings to be built up inside the local groups of the Circle of Friends:
When a healing occurs within one of these groups, be it in Germany or abroad, a local volunteer produces a short summary which is sent to the doctor heading the MWF, Matthias Kamp. Simultaneously, the preparation of a full healing report is initiated. For this purpose there is a guide and a questionnaire, which, in a similar way to a clinical case history, by posing specific questions about the condition of the healed person prior and subsequent to the healing, allows a detailed report to be assembled. This report is pre-checked at regional level before being sent to a central point in Hamburg. From there it is sent to one of around 40 doctors in the MWF to check the contents. Questions from the regional pre-check or from the doctor from the MWF, are clarified by the local volunteer checking with the healed person. In the event that the replies satisfy the examiners of the documents, there follow non-medical and medical final controls.
Finally, the healing is recorded in computer, and stored according to the year and type of disease. In parallel to the healing report, if it is deemed to be helpful, the leader of the MWF initiates further documentation. Doctors from the MWF are requested to obtain all medical records and results relating to the case, and arrange for an examination of the person concerned by independent colleagues locally. The documents are then attached to the healing report, and generally supplement by a detailed medical commentary.
The recording and checking of success reports from non-german speaking countries involves significantly more work, because of the necessary translation.
Besides healings, provable help in personal or professional matters, or inexplicable changes occurring to plants and animals due to the effects of the healing power are also recorded. Since the end of the year 1988, thousands of instances of help or healing the spiritual way have been checked by the voluntary workers of the MWF.
