The Bruno Gröning Circle of Friends
Brief account
The Bruno Gröning Circle of Friends continues the work begun by Bruno Gröning.
They meet regularly, either with the aim of regaining their health through his
teachings, or because they have already done so.
The head of the Circle of Friends is Grete Häusler. She met Bruno Gröning in
August 1950 and at this first meeting was spontaneously healed from three
chronic illnesses. In the years that followed she worked closely with him and
spared no effort to bring his teachings to people seeking help. This
commitment led to her founding the Bruno Gröning Circle of Friends in 1979.
Today there are several hundred communities - as the local groups are called -
in Germany, in neighbouring European countries and increasingly, also
world-wide. Some ten thousand people meet every three weeks to spend some
hours together in their local groups. The leaders of the communities and their
helpers meet in working circles to review, co-ordinate and discuss pending
activities. They accept their tasks and fulfil them independently. All the
work is done in an honorary capacity.
In addition to local communities for adults, young people and children, some
special communities have also evolved, for example, those devoted to the
world-wide care of individuals in various languages or those dealing with drug
addicts. For those in the medical profession there is the Medical-Science
Group MWF (the German name of this group is Medizinisch-Wissenschaftliche
Fachgruppe and the initials MWF are standard for all languages when reference
is made to this group).
Affiliation to the Circle of Friends is independent of any ties to churches or
other religions or ideological groups. There are no financial or legal
obligations. The work of Bruno Gröning is financed exclusively by voluntary
donations. In accordance with the way Bruno Gröning himself worked there are
no medical consultations, examinations, diagnoses or treatments in the Circle
of Friends. Taking medicine and visiting doctors is neither discouraged nor
recommended. Every healing is a gift and therefore, divine grace. This is why
healing cannot and never is promised in the Bruno Gröning Circle of Friends.
